Premium Young’s pub to open at CB1, Cambridge

Brookgate is pleased to announce that a premium Young’s pub is set to open its doors to the community at CB1.

The pub, which will be Young’s first in Cambridge, will operate as a Young’s managed pub, which are well-known for their individuality, award-winning food and drink and the role they play at the heart of the communities in which they sit.

Due to open in Spring 2017, the as-yet-unnamed pub will be positioned near the station, amongst a wealth of retail and leisure amenities, and will consist of Young’s characteristically unique bar and dining areas, as well as a terrace on which customers can enjoy a beer in the sunshine.

Young’s joins a host of leading retail operators which will be situated around the new Station Square including Sainsbury’s, Pret A Manger and Caffé Nero.  Officially opening on 17 October, this grand 40,000 sq ft public space will form the centrepiece for CB1 and is located immediately in front of Cambridge station.  Other landmark buildings fronting onto Station Square are One Station Square, CB1’s flagship office building and the Accor Hotel and CyclePoint cycle park. 

CB1 is set to provide a significant boost to Cambridge’s economy by attracting world-class and high-growth businesses, residents and visitors to the area.  Designed by Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, the project will deliver a state-of-the-art transport interchange featuring the UK’s largest cycle park with 3,000 spaces, prestigious ‘grade A’ offices, premium residential, retail and hotel space and purpose-built student residence accommodation.
